Why Digital Scrapbooking is so much fun! Scrapbookers have been enjoying the art of turning their photographs into pieces of art for many years. It wasn't until these last few years that digital scrapbooking has really taken off. More and more people are making good use of the up to date digital cameras and photo editing software as they incorporate them into their scrapbooking projects.

The types of scrapbook page layouts that you can create are limitless. Wedding page layouts, baby scrapbook pages, family layouts, pet scrapbooking, travel scrapbooking, sports layouts and school layouts are just a few of the themes you may want to work on. Taking your photos and turning them into digital...
The first thing you will need to do is turn your pictures into digital pictures. This an be done in a few ways. The easiest way is to take your pictures with a digital camera and then just upload them to your computer. If you have actual pictures that you want to add to your digital scrapbooking collection, then you will need to either scan them into your computer or you let us
scan them for you.
Photo Editing Software...
Once you have all of the photos you want to put in your scrapbook project you will want to get a good photo editing software program. This will allow you to crop your photos and add in any touchups, frames and artwork that you want with the simple click of the mouse. This allows you to make the best scrapbooking page layouts in just a few minutes rather then taking time to  cut and paste an entire page together. By going with digital scrapbooking techniques, you will be able to share your precious memories with family and friend via the Internet in a matter of seconds. This takes your photo hobby to a whole new level. If you are not up to creating your own scrapbook page layouts then you will find that there are plenty of ready-made templates that you can plug your photos into. There are plenty of software programs with these templates or you can search the internet for websites that offer downloadable templates. You can get plenty of basic ones for free on the internet or you can go with more elaborate ones for a small fee. You will never run out of choices for your scrapbooking page ideas.
Once you have your pictures plugged into your templates, you can then play around with embellishing them with various virtual trinkets. You will find that this is a much preferred way to cherish your memories. Digital scrapbooking is a favorite hobby of many and it takes little time to do it. Once you have your digital book complete, you can share it with friends and family by simply emailing it or posting on your website for all to see. You can also print a hard copy to have for your photo album collection.
